ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT In our practice, services don’t end after placing a credentialed clinician in your district. We see the placement of a clinician as only the beginning of the relationship. We provide ongoing clinician support to ensure that your sites are managed compliantly, and clinicians are providing effective services to their students. Our SLP directors often jump in with resources when students need extra care.
In addition to our directors’ ongoing support, Clinical Fellows are fully supervised by therapists from Pacific Coast Speech Services at no additional cost to the district. In the first few months, the typical PCSS clinical fellow receives two to three times the support required by the state licensing board and ASHA. Our supervisors are required to complete most of their supervision time onsite during the school day.
PCSS’s high level of clinician support yields reduced costs for districts, higher quality of services, more effective evaluations and treatment, and reduced attention needed from your staff in training and supervision.
QUALITY STAFF PCSS clinicians consistently receive 9.6+ overall ratings on a 10-point scale. What does this rating mean? Therapists are rated on:
Quality of Therapy and Evaluation Services
Ability to Blend with your IEP Team
Reliability of Appropriate IEP Support
District's Overall Satisfaction with Services Provided
The 9.6 rating is our average level of satisfaction. Who rates our team? Special education directors, program specialists, and principals from Southern California schools. We know schools. We understand local communities. We recognize your challenges.
FLEXIBLE HOURS AVAILABILITY In the current economic climate, contracting can help balance your district’s fiscal and workload needs. PCSS supports the local school community by assisting with temporary caseload expansions, site vacancies, maternity leaves, or issues with compliance.
Though the majority of our clinicians contract for a traditional academic year, we are happy to begin new positions throughout the school year. Our contracts are written for the specific length of assignments. We won’t make midyear staffing changes unless specifically agreed upon due to caseload changes or other unforeseen events. We have both SLPs and SLPAs available to serve schools during the summer, both for makeup and compensatory services and summer school programs.
Contracts may be canceled with 30 days’ written notice. Historically, this has only occurred due to district staff changes or other unforeseen events, and is rare.
